The Ultimate Finance, Accounting, Legal & Insurance Brand Shoot Guide

A brand shoot for finance, accounting, legal professionals, and insurance brokers should go beyond traditional headshots. It should communicate trust, professionalism, and expertise while showing your personality and approachability. This guide ensures you capture compelling images to elevate your brand and marketing efforts.

Location Planning

The right setting will reinforce your brand’s expertise and professionalism. Consider the following locations:

  • Office Space – Your desk, conference rooms, collaborative areas, and client meeting spaces.

  • Co-Working or Corporate Spaces – A polished, professional environment if your office is unavailable.

Casual Meeting Spaces – Coffee shops, modern lounges, or collaborative settings for a more relaxed vibe.

  • Photography Studio - Often the best choice for most industries, a studio offers great natural lighting, minimal distractions, and a neutral backdrop that keeps the focus on you and your brand.

Wardrobe & Styling Tips

Your outfit should align with your industry and personal brand. Keep these tips in mind:

Colours – Stick to your brand colours.

Professional & Polished – Classic suits, structured blazers, and crisp button-downs.

Approachable Yet Elevated – Soft colors, business casual looks, or smart layering.

Avoid Distracting Patterns – Stick to solid colors or subtle prints.

Minimal Accessories – A watch, delicate jewelry, or a simple tie adds polish without distraction.

Ensure your clothes are free of wrinkles, stains and marks.

  • Their approach to shooting matches with the location of choice (ex. if they are a natural light photogapher does your location have natural light?)

  • You have reviewed their portfolio and their style matches your brand

  • Do not worry if they aren’t available “asap” - we would prefer you wait for quality vs picking based on availability

  • Want to run your options by us? We would be happy to take a look and provide our feedback!

  • Providing client with both High res at 3600px and up and web size at 1024px is critical

  • Please share with the client expected final file delivery timeline
